Xueqing Emma Zhang
I am Xueqing Zhang, and you can call me Emma. I am in the second year of my 8-year-long medical journey at Fudan University, Shanghai, China. I am an open-minded girl who loves to try new things and enjoys any form of design and innovation. I am a big fan of movies, having a taste for those directed by Wes Anderson and David Fincher particularly. I also love reading fictions, traveling and processing images via Photoshop. People around me think me as "smart, reliable and helpful", but both my friends and I recognize that I tend to be too straightforward and single-minded sometimes. Medicine is both my interest and my major, and a doctor is what I have been determined to be from a young age. Being good at career is my most important and lifelong pursuit, despite all challenges I have met and will meet in the future. I think a broadened horizon and a multi-perspective way of thinking are what it takes to be a good doctor, and we medical students should exchange ideas frequently, unite as a family—because we all have a long way to go on the road of saving and healing. So I believe that joining the MED will be the happiest and most meaningful thing in my summer of 2016, and I am preparing for it with giant anticipation. New friends and inspiring experiences are always my favorite parts of life. I am looking forward to seeing you soon in Stanford!
