James Yang
James is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Stanford University. He is majoring in Human Biology with an emphasis in Brain and Behavior. He is involved with Stanford Pre-Medical Association and Stanford’s Asian American Activities Center. He has done research in hepatology in laboratory of Dr. Mindie Nguyen. He is interested in bridging quality healthcare with underserved communities and will be applying to medical school in the coming years. In his free time, James enjoys football, basketball, tennis, singing, travelling, and good food.
As a fellow, James looks forward to welcoming Asian medical students to the Bay Area and the Stanford medical campus, as well as providing an enriching summer for all VIA participants.
